Originally released in 2007, Smoke & Mirrors playing cards have since been printed in over thirty unique editions and colorsways but none quite like the original. To commemorate the 17 year anniversary we produced a limited Relaunch Edition of Version 2 featuring the return of the minimal court cards, joker and ace of spades along with a slightly modified back design. This is as close to the original design you can get without spending a small fortune on the resale market.

Limited to 720 Decks.

Printed by the United States Playing Card Company on our proprietary thin stock developed for Cardistry.

The card stock has that familiar, slightly snappy feel from the original 2007 run, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The recolored backs pop in a way that photos just don't capture. Hard to believe it’s been 17 years, but this relaunch was worth the wait.

These cards feel like a piece of history in my hands, and the print quality on this relaunch is crisp and clean. The classic back design brings back that same subtle elegance I remember, and I'm glad they kept the original vibe intact for the anniversary.

It's been seventeen years since I first picked up a deck of these in a magic shop, and this relaunch nails the same shadowy elegance. The matte finish handles like a dream for fans and faros, and the card stock has that same crisp snap I remember. Worth every penny for the nostalgia alone.
